Construction Equipment Transmission and Hydraulic Oil Application: Yellow Equipment Transmissions and Hydraulic Systems Greyhound™ Transmission Oil TO-4 SAE60 is a special lubricant suitable for use in Caterpillar machines. It is to be used for the lubrication of power shift, direct drive transmissions, final drives, differentials, winches, clutch plates, gears and bearings. Greyhound™ TO-4 oil series are specifically formulated SAE 10W, SAE 30, 50 and SAE 60 oils designed to meet Caterpillar’s latest Transmission and Drive Train Lubricant specification. Greyhound™ TO-4 SAE 10W and 30 are formulated for the hydraulic system and transmission, while SAE 50 and 60 are formulated for differentials and final drives where lubrication of very heavily loaded gears and bearings is the main consideration. In compartments without frictional materials, such as wet brakes and clutches, Transmission Oil TO-4 SAE 50 and 60 are very effective lubricants.
